Zoe Saldana (born June 19, 1978) was the daughter of Asalia Saldana and Aridio Saldana, who reside in Passaic New Jersey. Both her parents were both born in Puerto Rico. She was raised by her mother in Queens. As she reached the age of 10 years old, she and her parents relocated to the Dominican Republic. They lived in the Dominican Republic for seven more years. Zoe developed a passion to dance while in Dominican Republic. She started her training with the ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy, where she studied dance and various forms of dancing. Zoe not only has held her own but also gained recognition from famous actors like Steven Spielberg, Jerry Bruckheimer, Keira, Knightley, Ashton Kutcher and Orlando Bloom.
