Lucy-Liu

Lucy Liu was born in the United States. She is an American actress, a singer and voice-over artist. Beautiful, intelligent and gifted actress, she is an example to Asian actors aspiring to become big names in Hollywood. An array of highly successful initial performances in popular TV series resulted in her being famous for joining the cast in Ally McBeal, where she appeared as Ling Woo. After her popularity, she was offered important roles for her in Shanghai Noon (1998) and Charlie's Angels (2000). Then she gave a stunning performance in the role of Japanese crime lord O-Ren Ishii in the Quentin Tarantino film Kill Bill Volume 1. She also played leading characters in failed box office films like Rise: Blood Hunter. Later, she became a voice actress for animated movies, such as Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason's tiny screen role as a character in Cashmere Mafia did not produce anything of note. An appearance in the critically acclaimed police drama series Southland has helped her regain recognition as an established actress. Liu takes great care in picking her roles so that she isn't a victim of stereotypes. Though she has embraced her heritage, she hasn't let it limit her as an artist.
